Well last night I got the bike fired up. I modified the wiring loom with the help of Coopers old one so I got rid of the battery, starter and one or two other little bits. Including an ignition key, what the hell! After kicking it for a good five minutes and it not firing I was wondering what was up, so I disconnected the kill switch and she fired first try. Dodgy switch then! All the plastics are back on and I can't wait to ride it.
On with engines I went to look at a new car today. A MK2 golf with a few nice touches, I have to get mine sold then I'll be rocking the GTi 8v. Should be good fun. I'm looking forward to it.
As for the work it's becoming a drag but I'm still going strong. When the 6th Feb comes all hell will break loose. Get my fill of parties then back to reality I suppose and back to work. Pay those bills. Tonight I'll watch some of The Wire then it's up early doors to revise. Final big push.
Till the next time x

Simple things...
So today was a good day. It's the first day in a long while that there has been a blue sky when I woke up, this was a good start. At about 10am my new tyre and grips arrived from Millsy's shop, HardcoreHobbiesHQ.com. I got an Aitken tyre and some Stricker grips in white. Now this may not sound like a big deal but I can't remember the last time I got anything new for my bike that wasn't a tube so it was awesome. I eagerly fitted my new bits and pumped my tyres up super hard so I could go fast on my way to uni.
It was pretty windy but I got to the IC about 11 and did some work before meeting Pete at Dev for a long overdue ride. Even tho it was blowing hard and still a bit wet, there were loads of people at the park as if it were summer, thankful that even if the weather wasn't that good, if wasn't that bad either. I tried to do some fast 180s hoping my new tyre would help but alas, I am still not Aitken. Once we had had enough of being blown over every manual we went back to do some more work. I managed to leave and get back to JR just before the rain started again, as well as being in perfect time for Hollyoaks. Timing!
Lets hope spring isn't too far away! I can't wait to ride Dev in the hot sun again.
Peace x

New Year Son!
Once again it's been forever since I've written this. May as well then I can read it back even if everybody else has stopped checking it. Well, Happy New year. 2008 sees changes for the Townley family with my old man getting a new job up north so they're moving to Wakefield with Phil staying in Ipwich boarding. He's stoaked but Ollie isn't so happy with moving, but I tell him he'll love it once he gets into it. As for me it's all good, only a half an hour drive beats the A1 grind, urgh.
That aside after a real nice time at home with my folks and mates as well as a bit of riding with Pete it's back on the revision. But Christmas was good and I even made it to church on the 25th after a healthy portion of tally ho in my favourite pub christmas eve. Short IC revision session today is the start of many sadly but I'm on with it. Got to pass these and I see no reason why not.
Before christmas I saw The Mountain Goats again, this time in Manchester. For a second I thought maybe it wouldn't be as good as the Norway gig. Er well it was, best live show you will ever see. Easy.
That's it really, I just got a small 110F pit bike, no doubt I'll have some pictures of me falling off it to follow as soon as I get it running.
Peace

Work and parties!
Well that's all it's been lately. I started my new job about four or five weeks ago now, I'm working at JBS Auto Designs doing some seriously interesting stuff. It's mint and the guys that work there are real good fun. A nice place to be. So after that and the darkening evenings there's little time to ride. I'm looking forward to riding some skateparks and getting my flow on again!
Last week was freshers week but I didn't get too fresh, just once or twice...
Good party at Will Cash Money's house yesterday, it was serious then today I've been chilling watching heroes, that stuff is amazing. Not much else to report, I could tell you what I've been doing at work but then I'd have to kill you, and you don't want that. Till the next time.

Peace x

Changing Times?
Well the past couple of weeks have thrown one or two things up in the air for me. I have three re-sit exams to do, starting friday. I'm feeling fairly indifferent about them to be honest. I'm slowly getting through the work. Will I get them passed? We shall see. I'm not as driven as I was first time round. I started a new job at an interesting car tuning centre with the intention of doing work experience there in September. I am now feeling a little up in the air after being offered a job there on a more permenant basis. I'm hoping I'll be able to work next years re-sits and the job with each other. It is an exciting place and I feel happy to even have the choice, even if it does seem daunting. www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk Check out the sort of stuff they do and what I've been invited to join them in.
The weather has been great till today where it turned on it's head. Despite this sunny spell the bike has sat in the cellar for most of the time and I'm looking forward to going riding properly when all these exams are done with. The XC bike should get an airing too, a rare sight. This picture is from Leeds last year. Doing this footjam on the 5ft after some months trying to learn them put a smile on my face and I was buzzing the whole way home. Hopefully I'll find a vocation that will do the same for me.

Have a good vatch sir.
It's been a while!
I've been at sea for the best part of a month and a half. Most of that time was spent trying in vain to figure out the Swedish coastguard radio system, by the time I got the hang of it we'd arrived in Stockholm. Managed to catch the gale warning though and holed up in 2 days of 55knot breeze in the crappest ferry terminal ever. At least we weren't pinned on the weather end of the quay like another poor man. Any port in a storm... or is that something else.
So anyway, after my Baltic adventures I'm back in Sheffield. Today the sun was out and me and my housie Dan went to race our bikes at Peterbourough. It was a real good day and despite there being a bit of a breeze we had a good ride. Dan got 2nd in the main, I got 2nd in the B, sounds about right. So now it's on with the revision, making myself do at least a little each day. It'll be over soon, it better be.
Well that's a short report of what was actually quite an eventful few weeks. But I'm tired and watching Die Hard 4.0 tonight has worn me out even more. Watch it or I'll send John McClane round. Full on stories to follow.

Fresh Faces
No post for a while! I've been super busy with exams and they've been hard work. But on friday I had my last one. Yeeee. Carnival was good but not £22.50 good. I did do a tripple flip on the bungee trampoline though, factory! Still good to see everyone off.
The highlight of the weekend was my trip to Rother Valley. My friend Will invited me to go wakeboarding with the snowboard club. Thanks man. Possibly the best £15 I have ever spent. We camped sunday night after BBQing, chilling and partying then today we got on the water. I tried as hard as I could and started to get the hang of it but never achieved my goal to get all the way round. Next time I go I'm going to flip out of the kicker! Or maybe not.
Big props to the snowboard club, they rule. I enjoyed meeting some cool people and making some new friends! Hard to do at this stage in the game I think. Hopefully it won't be the last I see of them.
Tuesday week I leave for Sweden, I'm excited about my trip and seeing some old mates. It's going to be mint. No photos this time, I was too fast on the wakeboard and no known lenses can hack the pace...
