She lives!

Well last night I got the bike fired up. I modified the wiring loom with the help of Coopers old one so I got rid of the battery, starter and one or two other little bits. Including an ignition key, what the hell! After kicking it for a good five minutes and it not firing I was wondering what was up, so I disconnected the kill switch and she fired first try. Dodgy switch then! All the plastics are back on and I can't wait to ride it.

On with engines I went to look at a new car today. A MK2 golf with a few nice touches, I have to get mine sold then I'll be rocking the GTi 8v. Should be good fun. I'm looking forward to it.

As for the work it's becoming a drag but I'm still going strong. When the 6th Feb comes all hell will break loose. Get my fill of parties then back to reality I suppose and back to work. Pay those bills. Tonight I'll watch some of The Wire then it's up early doors to revise. Final big push.

Till the next time x

Simple things...

So today was a good day. It's the first day in a long while that there has been a blue sky when I woke up, this was a good start. At about 10am my new tyre and grips arrived from Millsy's shop, HardcoreHobbiesHQ.com. I got an Aitken tyre and some Stricker grips in white. Now this may not sound like a big deal but I can't remember the last time I got anything new for my bike that wasn't a tube so it was awesome. I eagerly fitted my new bits and pumped my tyres up super hard so I could go fast on my way to uni.

It was pretty windy but I got to the IC about 11 and did some work before meeting Pete at Dev for a long overdue ride. Even tho it was blowing hard and still a bit wet, there were loads of people at the park as if it were summer, thankful that even if the weather wasn't that good, if wasn't that bad either. I tried to do some fast 180s hoping my new tyre would help but alas, I am still not Aitken. Once we had had enough of being blown over every manual we went back to do some more work. I managed to leave and get back to JR just before the rain started again, as well as being in perfect time for Hollyoaks. Timing!

Lets hope spring isn't too far away! I can't wait to ride Dev in the hot sun again.

Peace x

New Year Son!

Once again it's been forever since I've written this. May as well then I can read it back even if everybody else has stopped checking it. Well, Happy New year. 2008 sees changes for the Townley family with my old man getting a new job up north so they're moving to Wakefield with Phil staying in Ipwich boarding. He's stoaked but Ollie isn't so happy with moving, but I tell him he'll love it once he gets into it. As for me it's all good, only a half an hour drive beats the A1 grind, urgh.

That aside after a real nice time at home with my folks and mates as well as a bit of riding with Pete it's back on the revision. But Christmas was good and I even made it to church on the 25th after a healthy portion of tally ho in my favourite pub christmas eve. Short IC revision session today is the start of many sadly but I'm on with it. Got to pass these and I see no reason why not.

Before christmas I saw The Mountain Goats again, this time in Manchester. For a second I thought maybe it wouldn't be as good as the Norway gig. Er well it was, best live show you will ever see. Easy.

That's it really, I just got a small 110F pit bike, no doubt I'll have some pictures of me falling off it to follow as soon as I get it running.

Peace
