France Roadtrip '08 Baby.

Well today I am in recovery mode. The past week has been amazing. 17 of us made the trip over to France for the BMX trip of a lifetime. A whistle-stop tour around the finest tracks in the south of France.

I could go into detail and do a daily rundown but I won't. This is for two reasons, the first being that I was too stupid to think to write a diary of the trip so I can't remember what happened each day and the second reason is it would be boring for anybody other than myself to read.

So the weather was perfect, up to 22 degrees one day and fresh as you like. Only one windy day but we got on it anyway. The French certainly know how to build a terrifying BMX track. They were all the business but a few stood out. Montelimar was my favourite and there was an amazing flowing third straight and a super fast first straight. Perfect.

Another outstanding place was Cornillion, with tech trails, a mint track and a downhill track it was off the chain. All in an amazing setting. They have it lucky! After breaking myself trying to get through some trails and eventually giving up on the fifth at Cornillion I then shoulder checked a take off on the track and that was me out for the next day. So a few beers followed in the evening sun. Could have been worse! By this point in the trip I was getting tired, both from riding and laughing all the time. Our bus was the best. Cheers guys.

Here is a photo of Joey I took and I think it came out pretty super. I love the lighting. Better than Kenny's one hander, haha.

An obvious shout out has to go to Tuffs who is a simply amazing rider, and a proper sound guy. What more do you need?

All in all it was a treat. Here is a photo of me on the last track we rode. Cheers Joey.

What a week, I'm already saving for next year. Cheers guys I loved every minute x
